Best Grill for RVing!
I've found this grill to be The absolute best for camping in my RV! I prefer to cook outside and the opptional, changeable grill, griddle & stove top plates give this grill a perfect score in my camp- I use them all. The cast iron (rather than Aluminum) are best as propane runs hot. It works best to preheat the plate and then turn the burner down when cooking. I keep the 5 gal propane tank in the storage bay of my 5th wheel and I purchased an 8 foot hose to run to the grill. This is great with as much cooking as I do on this grill-I use it for everything. Coleman's design on this Roadtrip grill (blue) has delivered everything I wanted in a portable camp grill. It's easy to set-up, easy to fire-up and easy to clean! I wouldn't enjoy cooking as much on the road without it! This one's a keeper.

Coleman 9941-768 Road Trip Grill (Blue)
This is a good grill. It's burns hotter than you think and cooks faster than you think but the food turns out wonderfull and is easy to clean.

If you travel a lot or like to tail gate than this is your grill. Get some extra grills, you'll need them if you Q large amounts of food.

Enjoy.

Regulator has a dangerous defect
We've been happy users of this model for two summers now. Lately have noticed that the cartridges were lasting a shorter time. A few days ago, with the unit out of use on the sunny deck, I smelled gas, then I heard the sound of gas leaking. Found the location to be an overload valve in the regulator.
The canister bled empty. With the unit in the shade I am not able to get the vent to re-close; a new canister starts leaking right away.
Had a flame come close to this, it would have been dangerous.
And so far none of the local stores have any advice, or a replacement regulator.

Update 1.sep.2008: I called Coleman about the issue. I was told that if the safety valve is overloaded, say due to the canister sitting in the hot sun, then the seal is broken. It will not reset; the regulator must be replaced. And Coleman sent me a new one, at no cost, and within one week.
So I am a happy camper again. I'll give the product a 4th star (but the web site won't let me do it).

From a safety point of view I am not happy with just letting the gas leak out; the explosion hazard is reduced to a fire hazard.
Design solution: how about including a whistle at the relief orifice to warn the user?

Best Grill Ever!
We bought this grill to replace an older full size grill for our camper after the old one tipped over in transit, spilled all over, and cut a hole in the laminate floor. Being able to fold this all the way down and store in the nifty carry bag is fantastic! No mess, no spills! I have purchased both the extra grill plate and griddle plate and am going to purchase the full size griddle without the drip holes for making French toast while camping. We've had this grill for going on 5 years, and if I ever have to, I'll be replacing it with exactly the same one!
