a OK tent...
Hoped for better...is not waterproof. Tried to make it water proof with no luck.(used 2 different sprays.) Needs a bigger rain fly. Very easy to put up and take down. The floor is the same material at walls. Dampness comes up thru floor if a plastic ground cover is not used.

Broken Poles & Poor Customer Service
We also had a problem with one of the brim poles breaking after the first use, and the other one has chips at the "fiberglass" tip. I called customer service the next day and had to leave a message after merely getting someone's voicemail. That same day, I also sent an email to customer service as follow up. It is now 6 days later and, after still not having received a reply by either phone or email, I called again. I was informed today that they do not have the poles in stock, and (this is the best part) they do not expect them for at least 8 weeks! Let's see, that means, with any luck, I SHOULD have them by the middle of October. I also asked about the possibility of obtaining them from a store that used to stock Eureka parts, only to be told that the stores do not have them either. Needless to say, I am rather disappointed with the quality of the poles, not to mention Eureka's lack of customer service. Actually, the tent itself is quite nice, although we only used it the one time in dry weather, so I can't comment on how it is in rain. However, a tent can only be as good as it's weakest link which, in this case, is definitely the poles.

If not for the weak poles...
We purchased this tent for a family camping trip; my husband and I slept in it and the kids had their own. The tent was easy to put together and we liked the size, although I can't imagine fitting a third person in it...Unfortunately, the front rain fly pole, which creates that nice little curve in the front that you can see in the pictures, snapped right away. This caused it to sag and the rain fly seemed effective. The one in the back was also clearly weakened. I could see that the issue was the poles were poorly made; if they had been able to slip a little further into the metal sleeve, I don't think they would have broken. As it was, there was too much strain and not enough support. This was a big disappointment, as I have always been an avid Eureka fan, and convinced my husband that this was the one we needed...I'm hoping that we just got a bad one, and they aren't all that weak, as I read all the good reviews beforehand... On the positive side, it did rain while we were camping, and even with the rain fly compromised by the broken pole, no water leaked into the tent.

Great Tent!
Really cheap and great quality. Only slight qualm is that it's not 100% rainproof. It manages in a downpour, but the insides get really humid and the bottom can soak up a bit of water.
All in all, worked great and quick and easy to set up.

Awesome tent!
Good quality tent at a great Amazon price! I still have to see how the fly will hold up during rain, but otherwise I'm very satisfied with the Eureka Tetragon Tent.
