Garrity KH021G Super Bright 1 Watt Luxeon LED Pivoting Headlamp

I just received this item from Amazon, and it didn't work. I thought that it was the problem of the batteries that were included. So, I replaced them with the new batteries, and it still won't work. It uses 3 AA batteries, and when I wore it, it felt heavy. The product looks very low-quality. I don't think that you should rely on it when it is really needed. I don't think that it will stand in rainy weather. Not recommended at all. When you REALLY need it, for example, when you come down at dusk during the rainy day in hiking, this kind of equipment should absolutely work. I doubt this product will. Shop around the better quality headlamps that use AAA batteries

This is a good light, and I got it for a great price. My boyfriend uses this when he's working on a car at night, and he's happy with it. He's not super excited about the red lights, but the 1 watt center light seems to be just about right. The only real complaint I've heard is the pivot is not as strong (meaning it doesn't lock in place as well) as some of his other lights

i wrote a review a while back when i was intending to purchase it
i have used it for a week or so and am in love again
it is a wonderfully safe light
i am a bicycle commuter
i never ever ever drive

this light is great for seeing in front (pitch black trips too)
the battery housing in back has a blinky red light that helps cars see me from behind
it is sturdy and rugged
the size of the straps is a smidge too small for my helmet (skater type)
i just slip my helmet side straps through the elastic on the light
that way it stays put on my head as i look up down and all around
also

the brightness? gosh up to the stars, and i often test it on highway signs way off in the distance, yes, they light up very brightly (i am on the access road, but the light travels far far far)

i had mentioned that previously my only frustration was that the battery housing got dropped too many times and i had to constantly squeeze/tweak it to make a good connection
i now see that it was my batteries
they are rechargable and i have had them for a long time
the tips are a bit chunky and mangled
that is what made the connection hard to make

i guess this headlight is, yes, perfect!

if you're a commuter, cyclist of any kind I think this would be a safe bet for you

This was meant as a gag gift for my boss, but it actually turned out to be a handy gift (the power in our building went out the day we gave it to him!). It has several light settings and fits comfortably. Would definitely recommend this product to others!

This was the first headlamp I have ever purchased and do not regret picking this up. Good quality build along with comfortable fit. Light is more than adequate enough for work inside the house where a free hand is limited. The only negative I see is, pointing to a previous comment, is the two control buttons on top of the unit. It takes a bit of fumbling at first but you soon get used to it eventually. Overall an excellent buy for the price.
