KEEN Sydney II Shoe - Women's

I originally bought these for walking to work and back - about 3+ miles a day. They were recommnded by the comfort shoe salesperson for serious walking needs - and i picked them after trying out almost 6 other diff shoes for walking. I love the wider toebed of Keen shoes, and the arch support is awesome (I have slightly low arches). I don't walk to work anymore, but now that fall's here , I use them primarily as my dog-walking shoes. I walk anywhere from 30 mins to an hour every day in these with my dog, and these shoes are supremely comfortable. THey definitely look and feel better than sneakers! I have had these for about a year and plan to buy more in other colors. If you plan to do any serious walking, these are hard to beat.

I purchased these shoes as a dressy backup to my Keen Newport Sandals which I'm taking to Italy. I intend to use the sandals most of the time because they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned but I thought a less "outdoorsy" shoe would be useful. I've now worn the Keen Sydney II several times, including the opera and the theater, to make sure they are comfortable for my trip, and I have nothing but praise for them. They are comfortable and, while not as dressy as heels, look nicely put together with dressier outfits, while giving me complete freedom of movement. The Carnelian color is beautiful.

I purchased a 1/2 size larger than my usual size because I often have problems with closed toe shoes. They fit very comfortably. For women with narrower feet their usual size should be fine.
