Great tent
Well, the Kelty guys don't need to be specially introduced to the outdoor enthusiasts. They produce some pretty good stuff and this is a well known fact. The Kelty Gunnison 4-person tent is not an exception. Light, easy to assemble (my personal record is 27 sec. assembly time for two), amazingly well ventilated, 100% water-proof, ideal for both camping and backpacking. The last time I used it for camping was a few days ago in the Eldorado National Forest, CA. The night temperatures outside varied from 38 to 42 degrees Fahrenheit but we had no trace of condensate inside of the tent. Just remember to keep the ventilation flaps open. It's good for a hot weather, as well: combination of huge mesh doors and mesh segments in its walls produce almost perfect air flow which, in its turn, definitely gives you a solid chance to sleep through a hottest and stuffiest night. 2008-09-25

Kelty Gunnison 4-Person Tent (2007 Model)
Great tent real easy setup.Vestibules work good for storing gear and gives you two ways out.Plenty of venting, been in 40 to 50 degree weather still plenty comfortable, haven't tested in rain yet.Quite roomy for two people.Bottom not reinforced, buy a tarp.Tent packs nicely, buy heavier duty stakes. 2008-08-18

Kelty 4-Person Tent
Awesome tent. Sets up fast (1 persn can do it easily). packs tightly with plenty of room to spare in carry bag. Lots of room, well ventilated.
the only negs are the stakes are whimpy, and the bottom doesn't have a liner. get a tarp to put down before you set up the tent they are cheaper than the one you can buy for the tent

Great backcountry tent
Kelty Gunnison 4-Person Tent (2007 Model) This is a great backcountry tent. We went hiking in Shenandoah National Park. The first night it rained really hard for 6 hours. We stayed dry all night. The vestibules kept our gear dry. My son had taken a single person tent and we planned to use the four person tent for 3 adults. As it turned out, my son's tent leaked and he ended up in with us. It's a good thing we had the vestibules for our gear. It is easy to set up and easy to take down. It folds up as easy as a blanket and fits in the bag really well. We bought a footprint for the bottom and that was well worth the money, too. 2008-07-25

Great for wildfire assignment
I just lived in this tent for three weeks in Northern California on a wildfire assignment. It is roomy enough for sleeping and all my gear. The tent fly that comes down to the ground in invaluable in damp weather. I would recommend this tent for anyone who wants to be comfortable for a day or many days. And it is very easy to put up and take down. 2008-07-20
