Dents easily, dispenser top difficult to use
The plastic bottle scare must be a boon to SIGG and other metal bottle makers. While I'm skeptical there's a real issue with plastic, I bought one of these for my wife and one for my teenage son since they were concerned.
It took my son one day to put two large dents in his, one big enough to effect capcity a bit, and I can't see any way to fix the dents.
SIGG might make different dispenser tops, mine has a four sided white and gray cross shaped gizmo on top that dispenses water when you twist it in a certain way (the word "CLOSE" is written in almost microscopic letters) and press it down, hard. It's almost impossible to dispense water at a decent rate and we've given up and just unscrew the top and drink from the bottle.
Buy one of these only if you're OK with the twist off top and you're not going to be knocking it around a hard surface that might dent the very soft walls. At $20 a pop, I expected much better durability and function. The instructions (in 20 languages!) are almost useless.
Addendum-- the bottle also imparts a metallic taste to the water.

Love this
I'm going to get more of them. I take this with me in my car, sometimes all day and it still keeps my hot drinks hot and my cold drinks cold. 2008-07-09

Sigg Water Bottle
They say that the plastic bottles I converted to a few years back might have health effects. I just don't want to take any changes so I bought Sigg Water Bottle. I love the taste out of this bottle much better. I bottle will dent if you hit it hard enough but it still works just fine. 2008-07-08

These bottles are only good for junk
My issues - bottle filled w/cold water from water cooler made my bottle so cold, I actually could not hold onto to it until several minutes later (with cap off) - If cap had been left on I am sure it would have taken longer for it to be touchable. Then the bottle became wet with condensation and leaked that condensation all over my desk under the bottle and around it. On top of it all I do feel like I have to handle the thing so carefully and not drop it because I want to insure I don't dent it. I have only had it a short time but I feel the pressure of being afraid of dropping it - because it's so expensive and so easy to dent. Not worth the hassle for certain. 2008-07-08

nice bottle
We've been using Siggs for a few weeks now and are happy with their performance. They get dented rather easily if you're not careful and they don't keep drinks cold very long when exposed to warm weather, but otherwise, I have no complaints. The textured finish on the "touch" version is a bit easier on the hands than the slippery "classic". 2008-07-07
