Its SOLAR
This solar shower is reasonably well made, but...if the weather is less than summer weather, I definitely recommend pre-warming the water. With daytime temperatures in the mid-60s, with clouds and a moderate wind, it never got the icy cold water above still pretty cold. It was a tough test for a passive solar shower, and I don't think any of them would work adequately. Still, it made for a great source of water for washing up, and if I had been devoted enough to the shower idea, prewarming the water would have achieved what the rather weak sun couldn't. In summertime (of course when cold showers aren't as horrific) it heats up and gets fairly hot. 2008-09-15

5 STARS this bag is awesome
Incredible solar water heating bag, very well made and the nylon backing that touches the ground, table, etc, on one side is TOUGH! I heated a full bag of approximately 4 gallons of water from 92 degrees to 120 degrees in about an hour in full August sun. Temperature gauge is an excellent feature and is very cleverly built right into the bag on the clear plastic side that faces the sun.
Do not bother buying a solar heating water bag unless it has this type of 10 inch wide opening, it is a MUST, so easy to fill, empty, clean and to dry out for storage. As mentioned previously the nylon backing on one side (the side that lays on the ground or table) is very strong and durable, just about puncture proof so you can feel fairly confident the bag will not be damaged or punctured while lying around.
Fill then tightly roll the lip to the black line on the clear plastic side that faces up towards the sun, bend the lip back towards the nylon back-side then clamp it shut/secure with attachable clamps built right into the bag, SUPER EASY and it does not leak.
Doing my part to be "green" my initial use was to heat a full bag for laundry whenever I need hot water, merely heat the water per instructions then unlatch the clamp, unroll (make sure the bag is standing on the bottom end), open the lip and you then have a 10 inch opening to pour hot water into the washing machine (or wash basin if doing dishes). SO EASY, a bit heavy as water weighs just over 8 pounds per gallon but is no big deal since it empties in about 1 to 2 seconds.
I have not taken a shower with it but I did test it by hanging it up with the shower head on full open and it appears that it will work absolutely fantastic. The shower head itself is very well made, easy on and off and fully adjustable to different pressures depending on your needs.
When not in use merely prop the 10 inch lip open and let the sun and air dry it out for storage.
With the cost of utilities and condition of our world having a way to heat water without burning fuel is a must and in my opinion this is the best bag out there, others I have used do not even come close to this one. Only wish Amazon (they didnt offer it when I ordered from a Amazon retailer) had it listed with their free super saver shipping offer as I bought it through a retailer for the same price but with an added $9.97 shipping charge. FYI, I searched the internet and NEVER found it cheaper than with Amazon's free shipping offer so save yourself the time and trouble as I did it for you.
