It Is What It Is
This Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite sleeping pad is great for what it is: an inch and a half thick, air-filled pad. Better than nothing? Definitely! Better than a lot of other similar products out there? For sure!

But it's still just an inch and a half thick, air-filed pad. I use it to camp and love it, but you will still feel rocks and roots beneath you. But it folds up very small and is extremely light.

best night sleep in a tent
I upgraded to this model for a backpacking trip to the grand canyon. Incredibl comfortable.

amazing, easy to fill, nice for sleeping
I liked this product very much. It's very portable, comfortable,
and easy to fill and fold. Good for camping or any short-term
staying.

Good for overnight, not for anything else.
Bought this for a 5-week field excavation, terrible idea. I can say it is probably possible to survive on this thing for a week if you've got a plush sleeping bag on top of it, but your back will be aching. a 15 dollar air mattress is nearly as compact deflated and infinitely more comfortable (though you can't lay it out on the dirt obviously). If you've got a tent, get an air mattress, if you're sleeping out while hiking, this could serve your purpose since it is rather toughly built. That's about all I can say positively about it is that it is very unlikely to tear or rip or anything like that, very durable.

therma-rest tail lite mattress
good so far, used twice on camping and backpacking trips. We have two older therma-rest pads that are somewhat heavier; this lighter version works fine for sleeping and saves wear and tear on the back.
