Victorinox Swiss Army Tinker with Free Classic Knife

I've always carried high carbon steel knives. The reason is that stainless steel just does NOT get sharp enough, nor does it hold an edge. The "so-called" high carbon stainless steel blades aren't much better. But, one day I aquired an old Victorinox Officer Suisse (identical to the one offered here), and soon packed my very old, collectable, Schrade and Ulster knives away. This Swiss Army knife is easy to sharpen and holds a fairly sharp edge. It won't rust, is easy to clean and hangs nicely from my keyring. It is not a prybar - the blades are very light weight. But, as a nice gentlemans pocket knife it is all that I need. BTW - the cheap Chinese made look-alikes are garbage. This is a high quality knife.

For the busy technology professional, a good knife can be the single most used tool. The Victorinox Tinker is pretty close to perfect. It has the critical core screwdrivers -- flathead and Phillips -- as well as simple punch, pick, and tweezers. It is NOT a huge pocket-tearing monster. The biggest problem is not leaving this miniature workshop behind!

I recently lost my keychain knife and was looking to replace it. The price on this package was so good I couldn't resist it! I love the Tinker. It is a great versatile tool. Works great for camping. I had one before (that I paid $19.99 for by itself at a sporting goods store) but I lost it. I got quick delivery. This is a great value!!
