perfect chairs for a day at the park or the beach...my wife loves the built in backpack...light weight and easy to cary...a little pricey, but worth it..

We ordered the chairs as a last minute purchase before a trip to the beach. As the mother I always find myself carrying everyone's gear, I figured with these chairs we could each be accountable to portage our "stuff". My plan, with the aid of the chairs was flawless. We were each able to load our items into the packs on the chairs and carry our own items to the beach. The packs easily fit a towel, sunscreen, books, magazines, beverages, snacks and hats. I was more concerned that I would break the straps that connected the pack to the chairs so I tried to limit the overall poundage. My husband is 6'4", my daughter is 5'8", and I'm 5'4", we were all comfortable enough in the chairs (at each of the arm settings) to nap in them. They don't pack as flat as I would like in the car but that wouldn't deter me from purchasing. The chairs have even made the journey from the beach to soccer game sidelines. While I sit lower than the other parents I am more comfortable and better equipped (because of the backpack function) than everyone else. Overall a great investment.

We bought this chair last year and waited to review to see how they held up. Our beach chairs don't get constant use, but we spend at least one week and make several day trips to the beach each year.

After years of trudging to the beach laden with an umbrella, beach bag, sodas and chairs, we've found this a great way to distribute the load a bit (and free up a hand). We had constant issues with folding up our former Telescope brand beach chairs, but so far have had no problems with these chairs.

They are lightweight and comfortable, although they don't tilt up as far as I'd like at times. The cupholder is nice to keep your drink off the hot sand, and the neck roll gives you a little support, when desired. When folded, the construction of the chair also lends itself to easily carrying in one hand if you don't want to use the backpack option. They initially seemed a little flimsy and I was dubious as to whether they'd hold up. But after using them over two summers, I've finally thrown away the old ones I'd held on to just in case.

The best way I can put it is that I place a high importance on the quality, durability and comfort of a beach chair (after all, it allows you to stay on the beach on your vacation, which is/should be pure bliss) and I'd buy these again.

Do not waste your time looking at any other chairs! This works PERFECT on the beach, for camping or tailgating. It would have been worth it for twice the price.

I like the idea of being able to throw towels, lotion, water bottle, snacks into the pack, put the whole thing on, and then be hands free to 'herd' my 2 year old to the beach. At first, I felt a little uncomfortable having a chair slung over my back, but now I love being able to pull it over one shoulder or strap it on and not worry about anything other than my young son. I'm a 200lb man and this chair easily handles my load. A little more expensive than many "beach chairs", but in my opinion, overall value easily justifies. Recommended purchase.
