Coleman 14-cup Percolator
This is an excellent percolator for perked coffee on your stove top. The only problem I encountered just this morning is a piece of the clear glass top broke off in the undersurface. 2007-12-17

Coleman Percolator
We used the percolator this summer and it worked great. It was the right size and cleaned up fine. 2007-09-24

coffee pot
When I recieved the coffee pot it was damaged. I returend it about 3 weeks ago and have not recieved credit yet. I do not know who to contact at Amazon and I think I am screwed! 2007-09-16

We love our percolator
We just spent the weekend using our new Coleman percolator. Each pot was trial and error, but we seemed to work out the kinks after a couple of pots. Hints: Once the pot starts to perk lower the heat or the coffee will come out the top of the filter. We found if we used a half a paper towel sheet as a filter and folded it over on top with the stem exposed, it did not allow any leaking grounds and made clean up a snap. Heat coffee for approx 11-12 mins after it starts to for a nice mild-medium brew. We were the hit with our coffee loving, camping friends. 2007-09-03

When you've got Company.
I didn't reply to the "rate the re-seller" because I basically didn't
receive the order... Long Story...
While visiting my Sister in the USA. I admired this great heavy duty
all steel, blue enamaled coffee pot. Knowing that my visit was short she immediately offered it to me. I thought I would find it "retail"
especially when she told me it was from "Coleman". There are an abudance of re-sellers for sporting goods in our area. After spending valuable time looking around. I resigned myself to ordering it.. but my father's wide screen monitor made the thing look squat and fat and in other links/photos the color was almost green. I was skeptical and I hesitated.
This cost me another day. By the time I finally sat together with my sister at my brothers house. It finally looked right, and I realized that the monitor was distorting the image. Unfortunately by this point, my time had run out. So I took hers, and ordered a new one to be shipped to her address as I returned to Europe. I would of ordered it for delivery to Germany if Coleman Europe was offering it.. I've got two future sales here from admiring friends....hint ... hint
Essentially when company comes I need to serve coffee for many and this
is my preference. It give lots of hot coffee relatively quickly in comparision to electric percolators or small quantity drip coffee makers.
The enameled coffe pot is perfect. The price is very attractive. How much more expensive would it be with a stainless steel stem and basket?
I had a nostalgic wish for a blop - blop sound. My grandmother had a (smaller) stove top precolator. I remember that sound. Maybe a bigger glass crown would bring out the pop plop blop sound as the coffee shoots into the crown??
All in All a great coffee pot at a great price ... Come to where the flavor is...
