Great Tent - Sleeps 2 + dog and bags great
This is a great tent. Setup was a big confusing the first time, but now its really a breeze. I'd highly recommend this tent to others. It has 1 door but 3 openings to the tent, and comes with lots of nice extras. It feels like columbia really went the extra mile on this tent and didn't slack on anything. The zippers are very sturdy and haven't had 1 snag yet even when going fast unlike other tents I've used.
Fast setup and take down after the first time using it, and it all fits back into the included bag :D

Looks like a great mid-sized tent but item description is misleading.
Just got the tent yesterday, so I haven't camped in it yet, but I did set it up to see how difficult or easy it would be to get it ready.
Setup was actually pretty simple. Would have been even easier if I had sense enough to set it up in my yard instead of my basement. Some of those shock-corded poles are pretty long. Not fun to swing around in a furnished area.
The interior of the tent is pretty spacious and looks like it will sleep two pretty comfortably. One person would be very happy indeed. I managed to get two twin sized air mattresses inside it, albeit at an angle rather than straight. The height is nicer than most smaller tents as well. If you're shorter (like me) you can almost stand up straight, not quite, but almost.
The tub-floor looks nice, too. It comes up several inches on the sides to help keep things dry.
Plenty of gear storage with the two gear pockets on the sides, the can holder (which also has pockets) and the gear loft on the ceiling.
The rain fly is GIGANTIC which is a huge plus for me. When set up and staked/tied down properly it allows for plenty of ventilation and storage in the 3 vestibules.
My only complaint, and I acknowledge that it's a small complaint, is that the item description listed a remote-controlled light as part of the package and it didn't come with one. I've got plenty of lights already, but darn it, if it says it comes with one, it SHOULD come with one.
I'll update this review when I get a chance to actually camp in it, which I hope to do later this week.

good tent for the price but has it flaws
If you want spacious tent for two that will keep you dry and well-ventilated at the budget price, you can select much worse then Columbia's Hawk Ridge 10x7 feet dome.
Goodies:
- good-quality construction from brand-name manufacturer at affordable price (sixty two dollars at the time of the review)
- tent stays dry, grounded and well-ventialted in any weather that mother nature can throw at you, which is most important when it comes to tents.
- excellent main vestibule entry gives more then enough space to comfortably enter/exit the tent and allows (due to the extra sixth pole for the rain fly) to keep it open in most weather, even in rain
- two additional smaller vestibules (again, available only if you put a rain fly on) at each end of the tent provide plenty of space for your gear and boots
- plenty of pockets inside, including can-holder, even though there is no remote light as Amazon description states.
- provided carry bag has nice expandable feature, so you can pretty easily put your tent back into it, once folded. With good folding technique you would even find space for additional tarp in this bag.
Not so hot:
- floor plan does not allow more then two people to feel comfortable in this tent. Stated 10 by 7 feet is only true at the center of the tent as tent features diamond layout. So this tent may be too big (and heavy) for one person, but too small for more then two, unless you have small child or a pet with you.
- heavy package, making this tent usable only when you don't have to carry it over long distances (good for car or canoe camping, bad for hiking destinations)
- six different poles make it more difficult to assemble comparing to more conventional two-pole designs. It is not too bad, as with some practice one person can set up basic tent in ~ 10 minutes and add rain-fly in another 10 minutes. But if time is at premium, I would advice against this tent
- mesh screen is not durable. I would afraid to keep my dog in this tent as he will ruin the screen with simple paw tapping
- very little sky view compared to other tents. The only mesh screens on top of the tent are providing the view only from the center of the tent. If you like your tent to be view-friendly, try a different tent
- provided stakes bend easily and are not advisable for long-time use. It is highly recommended to purchase MSR Ground Hog Stake Kit available on this site as a supplement if you don't already have good quality stakes from older tents.
Overall, I would give this tent three stars, with one bonus star for the affordable price.

Great Tent
As always the shipping times were perfect.
Is true that you have to give it a try in your yard before go camping since the design of the tent is not the usual and you may get confused. It took us one hour the complete set up and the disassemble (two persons).
The tent stayed dry when we went to camping.
I certainly recommend this tent if you want to stay dry.

Thin but durable
i used this tent last weekend and the tent held up better than i did. It rained for about 24 straight hours and the tent was completely dry. It is very thin but seems to have very good durability. It is small to sleep 3. 2 would probably be kinda comfortable but all tents seem to over inflate their numbers. I am not a big fan of the shape, i feel the height is kinda low comparable to other tents of the same size. Storage is A-OK and the cup holder is VERY useful. Can't spill the beer. For $80 it is a good buy. 2008-06-19
