Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Poly Sports Cap (12-Ounce)

After I heard all the plastic water bottle issues, I decided to get something safer. I went to a aluminum bottle I bought at Old Navy, but quickly returned it when I realized it didn't have any information on it.

I decided to get the Klean Kanteen 27 ounce with poly cap. Its very hard and I love carrying it around. My only knock on it is that it does sort of give off a "metal-like" smell or taste. Its no where nears overwhelming, but its noticeable. I tried pouring the water out of it into a cup to see if I could taste it... but didn't really. I think its just a smell I am getting.

This is a good water bottle, the 27 ounce is a perfect size for me... and its stylish.

It holds water very well, doesnt leak at all. When drinking directly from canteen a slight metal taste is noticed but it is not that offensive.

I use this water bottle at my desk at work, and have been very pleased. I have purposefully left water in it over the weekend, to see if there was a "taste" to it when I return on Monday mornings. Nothing but pure water.

The bottle itself is "bullet-proof" and I feel much better about not throwing away countless plastic water bottles. I've already recycled my last plastic water bottle, and will use this one for quite possibly the rest of my life. I am considering purchasing more, just to have them in the car, home, etc.

I imagine this would be a great gift for any "green" minded friends and family as well.

Exactly as described, I love that it's just stainless steel... no ceramic lining (like Sigg bottles) or BPA. The poly-flat cap makes a tight seal.

Only downside is that it doesn't keep liquid cool, which is too be expected since it's single-wall construction.
